AAA Defensive Driving

Length of Program: 8 Weeks

Format of Program:

  • Classroom/Theory
    • 3/14 & 3/15 – Defensive Driving (must attend both days)
      • Taught in 2 – 6 hour days
      • 8 am – 2 pm
    • 3/30 or 4/27 – ALIVE@25 (can attend either day)
      • Taught in 4 hours
      • 8 am – 12 pm
  • Practical Instruction – Behind the wheel training scheduled to fit student and instructor availability

Enrollment Requirements:

  • 14 years or older – however student cannot test unless he/she is over the age of 16 and has held permit for more than 6 months.
  • Parental Consent
  • State Photo ID

Certifications & Qualifications:

  • Class D Driving Test (if student is over the age of 16 and has held permit for more than 6 months)
  • Alive@25
  • Certificate of Completion

Program Description:

This program is designed for novice drivers, and  provides the knowledge and skills necessary to  successfully pass a Class D road exam.  This course includes both 14 hours of theory/classroom and 8 hours of behind the wheel instruction.

Students must also log a minimum of 32 hours of practice drive time with a licensed driver outside of scheduled class time, be 16 years of age or older, and have held their class D permit for a minimum of 6 months.

Students that meet these requirements are eligible to take their class D road exam at the end of the program.

Name of Program: AAA Driver's Education - Highschool Pathway

NIT will provide the necessary personal protective equipment for this training. Students are required to bring their own Hard Toe or Steel Toe boots.
I fully understand and recognize that working on or around equipment can have a high risk factor for serious physical injury and/or the possibility of death.

As parent/legal guardian of the minor named above, I am aware of and accept the risks and dangers of my minor entering potentially hazardous training and hereby give my consent for him/her to train within potentially hazardous areas.

All students must have their own appropriate medical insurance coverage in case of injury. NIT will not cover medical expenses for injuries incurred during training.

I release Northern Industrial Training, LLC from all liability and responsibility.
