These pathways focuses on the many different welding processes: SMAW (stick), GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG) & CAG (Carbon Arc Gouging). Outfitted with welding booths & a welding simulator, students will apply classroom learning in a welding shop.
Program Description:
There are 8 levels to this program. These programs are introductory courses to basic welding knowledge and skills.
Students will be introduced to basic welding principles, tools, gases, and filler metals. Theory based learning is reinforced by demonstration of techniques using real-world examples. This program includes both independent study and at least 20 hours of live, online instruction.
