High School Electrical I

Students will study & put to practice in hands-on practicals the foundations of the electrical trade. This will begin with a thorough overview of the safety practices that underpin all electrical work, including appropriate PPE, precautions, & procedures.

Participants will acquire a thorough understanding of the tools essential to the electrical trade, developing functional fluency in measurement tools, hand tools, & power tools. Moreover, students will hone their abilities to interpret & comprehend technical plans, acquiring the skills necessary to read & understand electrical diagrams & blueprints.

The course progresses into the practical realm, with a focus on the preparation & planning of residential circuits. Through hands-on exercises, students will engage in wiring techniques, installation of switches, outlets, & various electrical equipment. By applying theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, participants will gain proficiency in executing residential electrical installations with precision & confidence.

Our courses meet the requirements for credit & can qualify for credit transfer as shown below. Please note - transfer of credit is always at the discretion of the receiving school.
