Course Overview
This course builds on the foundations learned in introductory welding, providing a more in-depth exploration of various processes & techniques. Students work toward a final project together, building a sense of shred responsibility that mirrors the role of the welder in the field. – Prerequisite welding 1 or equivalent

- Leather work boots
- Cotton pants/shirt (no synthetic materials)
Determination of High School Credit
Each intensive will include two primary components:
- 32 hours of in-person instruction at the NIT shop
- Completion of the Student Workbook
Student workbooks are developed using NIT’s curriculum and will include reading assignments, vocabulary and key concept reviews, independent exercises, embedded video content with required responses, knowledge checks, safety highlights, and a final independent written project
Funding
Funding for this intensive will be self-pay only. Summer intensives cannot be direct billed to any homeschool agency.
