PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Pro Truck Driver 240 Hours / TD108
This program meets the Entry Level Driver Training standards as required by the FMCSA.
Our comprehensive 6-week CDL program is designed to meet FMCSA’s Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) standards, providing students with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and certifications necessary to become proficient Class A CDL drivers. The program integrates classroom instruction, simulator training, and practical experience to ensure students are fully prepared for the CDL road exam and real-world trucking demands.
Beginning with permit preparation, students will learn the fundamentals of safety, vehicle operation, and federal regulations. As they progress, they will move into hands-on training that includes mastering pre-trip inspections, driving maneuvers, and advanced skills like double-clutching, shifting, and backing. Our 80+ acre driving range provides a safe environment for students to practice these skills before applying them in real-world street and highway scenarios.
The program includes specialized certifications such as Forklift Operator and HazMat ELDT, along with focused training on load securement, extreme driving conditions (with an emphasis on winter driving), and truck maintenance. Through daily use of state-of-the-art simulators, students will refine their driving techniques in a controlled environment before taking to the road in a tractor-trailer.
By the end of the program, students will be well-equipped to pass the CDL Class A exam, having gained valuable experience in coupling/uncoupling, shifting, turning, and backing. Graduates will leave with the skills and confidence necessary to safely operate a tractor-trailer in various driving conditions.
